For those of you that know my story, you know that I came from very humble beginnings. I grew up very poor and with a single teen mom. I am a sexual and physical abuse survivor and also was a homeless youth. I fought my way out and persevered through college without any support. I've always been willing to take on challenges and know that anything is possible. The journey is not easy and along the road I struggled with depression, weight gain and suicidal thoughts. Video games is what got me through all of it. it was my escape through darkness and helped me find solitude in a cruel world.
In 2016 I decided to take my life back and re-spark that fire that was once put out by the horrors of life. I decided to create my own goals to what I feel happiness is. I took on the challenge of losing 150 lbs in one year and succeeded. Thing is I still struggle with mental health and I've always wanted to bring awareness to it.
I've always had a giving heart and anytime I would be asked to donate (even if I was broke and only could afford a dollar) I would. I will leave a positive impact on this world in some way or another and thats what I believe life is worth living for. Going through the darkest of times is what helped me realize how precious life is and helping others is what I've always been about.
In the future, I'd like to start my own charity's supporting awareness for sexual assault survivors, mental health awareness, homeless youth and transgender rights.
Charities I support:
I originally choose these two to support for obvious reason but I've also gotten to know the leaders through a wonderful community that I help with called Twitch Los Angeles.
