Hey everyone! I want to thank you again for joining my group! I hope you're enjoying yourself thus far. If you have not joined, you should because we are about to start our 2nd giveaway! Join the group here
Congratulations to our last giveaway winner Jean!!
It’s that time again for our next giveaway! I see lot of posts in the more populated Bariatric groups and about people regretting their sleeves/pouches. Is that true? We all fight to have this surgery and I would hate for it to end in regret.
So here are the rules on how to win this giveaway:
1. For this giveaway, I want to hear from you! Leave a comment below (on this blog) answering these questions:
-Tell me what makes you proud to have your new tummy?
-Why do you love or dislike the surgery?
-Name a few things that you would tell someone just getting the surgery and what you wish you would have known.
-If you have not had surgery, tell me what you look forward to and what you are not looking forward to about surgery!
2. So If you participate in leaving a comment about your tummy...That is it! You are entered in the contest! But wait there's more! If you want more chances to win, see #3
3. If you invite someone to this group and they join, message me (Amber Stamey) letting me know you invited them to the group and you will get your name thrown in an extra time! (inviting more people is encouraged but will only get your name in the drawing 1 extra time)
4. Well I did say I love blog promotions! So if you share one of my blog posts and screenshot it and send it to me via facebook, I will throw your name in the ballot an extra time. (sharing more than once is also encouraged, but will still only get your name in the drawing 1 extra time)

-Tell me what makes you proud to have your new tummy?
My stomach has always been the biggest part about me. I LOVE that I can wear my dresses with more confidence now because my tummy doesn’t stick out as much or make me look pregnant (a student asked me if I was pregnant once, and I wanted to cry). I also can wear jeans again without feeling like I have a huge roll sticking out.
-Why do you love or dislike the surgery?
I’ve loved my surgery and never had regret or buyer’s remorse with it. As much as I hated all of the insurance requirements (6 months dietician counseling, 10% of body weight lost, 2 phone calls a…
What I like about my new stomach is the freedom to explore new foods... new clothing, and new confidence... I guess you can say, I have a new attitude on life....
When it comes to my surgery experience, I have to say overall that it has been a pretty positive experience so far. Mind you, it has also been extremely hard as well. As much as I pat myself on the back for sticking to my diet and exercise schedule, it is sometimes extremely overwhelming. Because I also suffer from random bouts of severe depression, I also go through pretty bleak moments. I sometimes hate the surgery and myself because I can't believe that my love of food had gotten so out of hand and that my depression sabotaged my previous attempts at weight loss. I guess I am pretty freaking proud of myself for the days that I get out…
Well,i haven't had surgery yet. I had to give some thought to what i'm looking forward to. Many things..being able to buy clothes in a store, being able to fit behind the wheel to drive again..but honestly the thing i MOST look forward to is not having family members and friends pity me. I know they mean well ,but i think it's almost worse than if they made fun of me. What am i least looking forward to? The possibility that i'll fail this somehow..i seem to be especially gifted at failure. I can't imagine what will happen if i go through all this and screw up somehow...anyways enough debbie downer stuff. Like the blog.
After 4 months Im still getting used to my new tummy. It has had its ups and downs. I love the fact its shrinking dont always like that can eat so little. It is a struggle. I wish I would of known how tiny amount you can eat.
What I would tell someone getting the surgery: you will struggle with head hunger. Join groups, ive learned so much from all the bariatric groups on facebook. It really prepared me for surgery. I got the surgery to be a healthier me and its worth it all. Make sure you ask lots of questions and research, its a whole life changing expierence to how you eat and drink, to your emotions b…
