Hey everyone! I want to thank you again for joining my group! I hope you're enjoying yourself thus far. If you have not joined, you should because we are about to start a giveaway! Join the group here
The reason I created this group was for people who have or will have gastric surgery. I wanted to create a group that is happy, free from the food police, free of rude people, and I want to promote fun posts all while being educational for our new bodies!
I also am a blog writer. I want to help others with what I have learned from surgery. I've went into other groups and tried to post my blogs to help others but MOST if not ALL removed my post. Why? I have no idea.
Well I believe its okay to self promote, especially if you want to help others. So I created my own group, YOU are allowed to promote your blogs, there are no competitions on "who is doing better the fastest", it is only encouragement here. I also wanted to do some giveaways and that is today's topic of POOP!
That is right! POOP. So for our first giveaway I want to talk about surgery, and poop! Don't worry, the giveaway is not poop. It's actually pretty awesome and will be announced very soon!
Poop is one of the most least likely things I thought about before surgery. I mean it was so hard for me to go after surgery, that I found myself being excited that I pooped today! At 28 years old, I didn't think I would be going around my "normal" friends and talking about my poop. So I called my grandma and we talked for so long about how its so hard to go. (I'm not joking). Hey, that is bariatric life for you! :) After 3 months, I'm finally pooping daily and its wonderful. I've found that adding cabbage, or onions to my diet really helped. Anywho, lets get to the fun part:
So here are the rules on how to win this giveaway:
1. Leave a comment below (on this blog) about your poop after surgery! What was it like for you? Did you have a hard time? Did you use anything to relieve your symptoms? Any advice? If you have not had surgery, please ask any poop related questions.
2. So If you participate in leaving a comment about poop...That is it! You are entered in the contest! But wait there is more! If you want more chances to win, see #3
3. If you invite someone to this group and they join, have them message me (Amber Stamey) letting me know who invited them to the group and you will get your name thrown in an extra time. (inviting more people is encouraged but will only get your name in the drawing 1 extra time)
4. Well I did say I love blog promotions. So if you share one of my blog posts and screenshot it and send it to me via facebook, I will throw your name in the ballot an extra time. (sharing more than once is also encouraged, but will still only get your name in the drawing 1 extra time)
5. This is our first giveaway, and I want to continue to make the group grow and do great things. So if you have any advice, or want to help the group grow even further or if you want to be involved more. Contact me or message me on facebook. You will also get your name in the drawing 1 extra time.
6. Want another way to get your name in the drawing more than once? Visit Albri Designs and share the site via social media. Screenshot the share and send it to me via facebook messenger, and I'll add your name to the drawing 1 extra time.
So there you have it! You can have your name in the drawing up to 5 times to increase your chances of winning! If you have any questions please, let me or the admins know and I'm more than happy to assist you :)
The drawing is closed at 11/16/17 at 12pm PST (PACIFIC US TIME) The winners will be announced Friday in the group!
Sleeved two days ago can’t poop hoping soon.
The few days after it wasn’t pretty bad. I always felt like I was rushing to the bathroom after my rny.
I had RNY on 21/08/2017. I cringe everytime I have to go the bathroom because I don't know if it will be a relatively quick ordeal (5-15 minutes) or if I will start crying and spend a chunk of my morning/afternoon/evening feeling as if my insides were being torn apart. I have had 2 babies naturally (I had epidurals for both-but after several hours of labour) and quite frankly-this kinda feels a bit similar. The pushing and the sweating and the crying and the OMG what did I do to deserve this? (At the least pushing out babies I have fond memories of how they got in my belly in the first place) I'm still trying to figure out my…
Where do I begin!!! Lol. The issues with poop is minimal, if I take a stool softener everyday!!! I really wish the doctor would stress that out before surgery! This way I would be ready for it!!! I can say when I do go it is the best feeling in the world!! Lol
I’ve never had any issue with constipation until after the sleeve but I’m okay with the trade off! Miralax is what my gastric surgeon prescribed and tahdahhh!
